Cost-Effective and Secure Online Communities For Healthcare

Medi-X-ChangeTM communities are built upon the most cost effective, integrated and secure suite of Web 2.0 tools in one community and social networking platform. This unique platform was originally developed in support of  the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), a not-for-profit research centre founded by Jim Balsillie, Co-CEO of Research In Motion (RIM).  His vision was to create an international online network for researchers, educators and practitioners who were studying, working and advising on global governance issues, based on the belief that the Internet and other technologies offer tremendous potential for supporting and facilitating change.  In 2008, IGLOO software was launched, and connects more than 200,000 researchers, academics and practitioners from around the world in the not-for-profit, education, high tech and government sectors.  IMPETUS has partnered with IGLOO to build upon and customize this platform to meet the unique needs of healthcare stakeholders.  Jim Balsillie remains Chairman of the IGLOO Board.

Medi-X-ChangeTM communities operate on the SAAS model (Software as a Service), resulting in lower start up costs, faster implementation, regular seamless upgrades, and guaranteed uptimes, all while maintaining the highest level of security.   Communities can be private (invitation only) or public, or a combination of both.  Secure access control is built in allowing a community to serve various target audiences, each receiving their own unique and customized view.
